Very sturdy regulator that is from our experience highly reliable. SMD, but also easy to hand-solder. Some overstock from an automotive assembly we did a while ago.

LM2575HVS-5.0 is a buck type voltage regulator for single-ended positive voltage and negative voltage input. It has a low dropout linear voltage of more than 1.5 V and can be used in various systems to ensure constant current, constant voltage and output smoothing function by internal feedback mechanism. It features the fastest turn on speed, lowest quiescent power and hysteresis characteristics under wide operating conditions such as high efficiency, stable output with no oscillation, no ringing or burping effect, etc.
